DANIEL L. COREY, MD
University of Utah School of Medicine
Dr. Corey is fellowship-trained and board certified in diagnostic radiology. His expertise includes Neurological Imaging.
Dr. Corey grew up in Delta, Utah with 9 siblings. In high school he enjoyed football, wrestling, baseball, and music. After high school he served a mission to Atlanta, GA where he worked with Vietnamese people. He attended Utah State and BYU before going to Creighton University for Physical Therapy school. After physical therapy school, he married Allison and moved to the Los Angeles area where they worked for 2 years during which time he decided to attend medical school.
After graduating from medical school at The University of Utah Medical Center, he completed a residency in diagnostic radiology followed by further training in Neuroradiology at Oregon Health Science University. In addition to his medical expertise, Dr. Corey holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Dr. Corey has been involved in research projects including neurologically-associated intravascular lymphomatosis; anomalous hepatric vein drainage in the right atrium, a review of the embryology and development of portohepatic venous anatomy; the effectiveness of strain/counterstrain; and others involving the needs of emergency department patients.
Membership in professional organizations include Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, American Society of Neuroradiology, and American Medical Association.
Dr. Corey's wife is Allison. They have 3 kids: Timothy (9), Paige (6), and Mason (1) and are making their home in Orem, UT. Hobbies include: mountain biking, road biking, golf, basketball, running, camping, hiking, and history.
