Dr. Val D. Dunn specializes in interpreting and acquiring medical imaging using such clinical imaging techniques as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography, projection radiography (x-ray), mammography, and ultrasound.

In addition to practicing diagnostic radiology for over thirty years, Dr. Dunn has acted as chief of the American Fork Radiology department for eight years. He also has taught diagnostic radiology for four years, at Wright State University in Ohio and at the University of Iowa. Dr. Dunn is board certified in diagnostic radiology. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America.

After graduating from medical school at the University of Utah College of Medicine, Dr. Dunn completed a family practice internship at the Naval Aerospace and Regional Medical Center in Pensacola, Florida, followed by a return to the University of Utah for a residency in diagnostic radiology. He served as a colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

Dr. Dunn and his wife, Laura, served a mission for 18 months as Country Directors of Humanitarian Projects in India for the LDS Church.
